The second edition of AVENTIA, the flagship research paper presentation competition organized by the SJC Science Association, was a remarkable celebration of intellect, innovation, and scientific spirit. First of its kind in Prayagraj, the event began with an opening speech by the President, Shreyansh Singh, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp led by Vice-President Hridyansh. The ceremonial lamp was lit by the Principal Rev. Fr. Walter D’Silva, the esteemed judges Prof. Sunil Zacharia and Dr. Sanish Thomas, the Chairperson of the Science Association Dr. Sheetal Sebastian, and the President Shreyansh Singh. This was followed by a solemn prayer led by Organising Secretary Shreyash Agarwal and an introduction of the judges by General Secretary Aradhya Srivastava. Shreyash Agarwal then outlined the competition rules and judging parameters. The anchoring duties were efficiently handled by Shreyash and Treasurer Ark Ekansh, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow of presentations.
Each team showcased their research with clarity, passion, and scientific rigour, earning praise from both the audience and judges. Just before the results were announced, both judges—Dr. Sanish Thomas and Prof. Sunil Zacharia—delivered inspiring speeches, motivating students to continue their pursuit of academic excellence. This was followed by an address by the Principal Rev. Fr. Walter D’Silva, who encouraged participants to keep nurturing their curiosity. The announcement of results was made by the President- Shreyansh Singh, declaring Kevin Terry Velluthara and Yeshu Ezra Sanal as winners with 156 points. Abhimanyu Dixit & Mohd. Ismail (148 points) and Paritosh Verma & Shashwat Gupta (147 points) were awarded first and second runners-up, respectively. Honourable mentions went to Nishkarsh Gupta & Pramit Pandey (143 points) and Utkarsh Singh & Shashank Shekhar Pandey (142 points). The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Aradhya Srivastava. The event concluded with a formal closing by the President, leaving the audience inspired and the legacy of AVENTIA further enriched.
