ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE

VOICES OF DIPLOMACY, TRIUMPHS OF LEADERSHIP

St. Joseph’s College delegates make their mark across leading Model United Nations
conferences
Over the past four months, the young diplomats of St. Joseph’s College, Prayagraj, have carried
the school’s name with distinction across some of the region’s most competitive Model United
Nations platforms. From St. Mary’s College Inter-Convent Model United Nations (SMUN) and
Delhi Public School Allahabad Model United Nations (DPSAMUN) to our very own St. Joseph’s
College Model United Nations (SJCMUN), our delegates demonstrated impressive research,
eloquence, diplomacy and strategic thinking, earning an array of coveted accolades across
diverse committees.
These achievements are more than certificates and titles. They reflect the ability to think
critically, articulate ideas with conviction, negotiate across differences and engage meaningfully
with the complex issues that shape our world.
Behind every successful delegation is a team that works quietly and tirelessly. We extend our
heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. A. Thomas and Mrs. S. Rajauriya for managing our delegations at
SMUN and DPSAMUN, and for guiding the Secretariat and Organising Committee during
SJCMUN, together with Mrs. S. Lyall, Mrs. M. D’Cruze and Mrs. M. D’Souza.
A special word of appreciation goes to Shaurya Goswami and Daksh Abhishiktt Lyall, who
served as Head Delegate at SMUN and DPSAMUN respectively, providing leadership and
direction to their fellow delegates.

Each conference offered our students an opportunity to step beyond the classroom and inhabit
the roles of diplomats, policymakers, journalists, ministers and international representatives. In
doing so, they learnt that effective diplomacy is not merely about speaking well; it is about
listening carefully, researching deeply, thinking independently and negotiating intelligently.
The breadth of committees in which our students excelled—from the UN Security Council,
UNHRC, UNCSW and ECOSOC to the ICC, IAEA, International Press, AIPPM and specialised
crisis committees—is a testament to their versatility and preparedness.
As these young voices continue to question, negotiate, deliberate and lead, they embody the
spirit of Semper Sursum — Always Aim High.
Congratulations to all our delegates on a remarkable run of MUN achievements. May their
voices continue to be heard, their ideas continue to matter, and their leadership continue to make
a difference
