SJC organises Competency Based Teaching Seminar
Can anything be more rewarding than the opportunity to train pliant minds so that they can firmly hold the reins of the future? In order to acquaint teachers with latest pedagogical practices, St. Joseph's College, Prayagraj organised a Teachers' Training Orientation Seminar on 30th March, 2026.
The entire teaching staff under the able stewardship of its dynamic Principal Rev. Fr. Walter D'Silva and Headmaster Rev. Fr. Melwin Pais, welcomed Mrs. Rashmi Singh, Principal, Skylark World School as the Resource Person. Her humongous experience of more than two decades in different capacities as a mentor and a Career Counsellor, ensured lively approach throughout the session.
The topic was Competency Based Teaching and Preparation of Question Papers. Tailoring the curriculum to ensure students acquire essential knowledge and skills, giving personalised instruction and assessing the learning outcomes through formative assessments goes a long way in making education child-centric.
As a token of warm regards, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Walter D'Silva and the Headmaster, Rev. Fr. Melwin Pais welcomed Mrs. Rashmi Singh and Mr. Brijesh Sharma from Marina Publications with bouquets and mementos. The Mistress of Ceremony was Mrs. S. Banerjee while the Vote of Thanks was given by Mrs. D. Madnani.
