To commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, a special morning assembly was organised in our school to honour the indomitable spirit, courage, and sacrifice of the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who defended the nation’s sovereignty during the Kargil War of 1999. The assembly aimed to instil a sense of patriotism, gratitude, and national pride among the students while paying tribute to the heroes whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire the nation
The programme was hosted by Shivansh Gaur, who welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. He recalled how the victory of the Indian Army on 26 July 1999 remains a symbol of courage, determination, and unwavering devotion to the nation.
The assembly commenced with a soulful prayer presented by Ayan Maurya, Yasharth Mishra, and Arya Bhatt, creating an atmosphere of peace and reverence. This was followed by the National Pledge, led by Bhavishya Singh, reminding everyone of their duties and responsibilities as proud citizens of India.
The literary segment began with an informative English speech by Shreehan Shukla, who spoke about the significance of the Kargil War, the challenges faced by the Indian Army, and the remarkable bravery displayed by our soldiers. He emphasised the importance of remembering their sacrifice and the role they played in safeguarding the nation. This was followed by a heartfelt Hindi speech by Aaditya Jai Singh, who paid tribute to the martyrs and inspired everyone with a message of patriotism, unity, and selfless service to the nation.
The audience was further inspired by the Thought for the Day, presented by Yash Tiwari, which reminded everyone that the security and freedom we enjoy have been secured through the courage and sacrifice of our armed forces and must be upheld through responsible citizenship. The patriotic spirit of the programme was further enhanced by visually impactful banners prepared by Amarnath, Ved, Vedant, and Arya Bhatt, depicting the courage and achievements of the Indian Armed Forces.
The assembly concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Shivansh Gaur, who expressed sincere gratitude to the ANO, Mr Azhar Usmani, for his valuable guidance, constant encouragement, and unwavering support in organising the programme. He also thanked the respected Principal, teachers, participants, and students for their enthusiastic cooperation and active participation, which contributed to the success of the assembly.
The programme concluded on a deeply patriotic note, inspiring everyone to honour the legacy of our brave soldiers not merely through remembrance, but by becoming disciplined, responsible, compassionate, and devoted citizens of the nation.
