The Music Association of St. Joseph’s College, Prayagraj, organised the English Solo Singing Competition on Monday, 10 August 2026, providing students with a vibrant platform to showcase their vocal talent, confidence and love for music.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, Bible Reading and Prayer, followed by the presentation of saplings to the distinguished panel of judges—Ms. Upasana Martin, Mr. Johnson Toppo and Mr. Varun Benedict. Mrs. C. Wesley introduced the judges and announced the rules of the competition.
The competition was conducted in two categories: Category I – Classes VI–VIII and Category II – Classes IX–XII. Students delivered enthusiastic and confident performances, filling the venue with music, energy and excitement. A special musical presentation by the Music Association added to the spirit of the occasion, while a performance by the judges provided a memorable musical highlight.

The coveted Voice of SJC titles were awarded to Adarsh Sudarshan of Class 7C in the Junior Category and Alex K. John of Class 9D in the Senior Category.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the President of the Music Association, Amber Srivastava, followed by the National Anthem.
The competition was a memorable celebration of music, talent, confidence and camaraderie, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the Music Association and the rich musical culture of St. Joseph’s College.
