Reaching Out With Compassion
Relief Efforts in Flood-Hit Areas
Members of the USM Association and the LTS Association of St. Joseph’s College undertook a visit to the flood-affected Mehendari (Rasoolabad) area of Prayagraj on 7 September 2026, extending assistance to families displaced by the recent floods.
The team was accompanied by teachers Mrs. Ancy Sanish Thomas and Mrs. Sarika Lyall, along with student volunteers from the two associations. Together, they distributed essential daily-use ration items to the affected families, offering much-needed assistance during a difficult time.
The visit was a meaningful expression of charity, compassion and service, reflecting the values that the institution seeks to instil in its students. Through this simple yet significant gesture, the students demonstrated that empathy, when translated into timely action, can bring comfort and hope to those facing adversity.
The school takes pride in the spirit of service demonstrated by its students and remains committed to nurturing in them a sense of responsibility towards the wider community.
