The inaugural of the much awaited event "AVENTIA" Research Paper Presentation Competition commenced with a warm and effusive welcome by the erudite President of the Science Association, Lakshya Kulshrestha, who graciously greeted the honourable Principal, Rev. Fr. Walter D'Silva, the distinguished judges, Dr. (Lt) Neha Frederick and Dr. Sanish Thomas, and the assembled gathering.
The ambiance was suffused with an aura of reverence as Devansh Mishra, the Vice President of the Science Association, invoked the divine blessings with a succinct yet heartfelt prayer. The atmosphere was further elevated by the melodious strains of the college choir, skillfully guided by Mr. Saubhagya Nayak, with Joshua's dulcet tones taking center stage.
A symbolic sapling was presented to the judges as a token of appreciation by the Principal, signifying the nurturing of knowledge and growth.
Utkarsh Dwivedi, the General Secretary of the Science Association, elucidated the significance of the event to the gathering, after which the judges were escorted to the panel with great fanfare. Panav Tandon, the Treasurer of the Science Association, expounded upon the imperative need for cultivating research paper writing and presentation skills among STEM students.
The parameters for AVENTIA were declared by Shreyansh Singh, the Organising Secretary of the Science Association, and the event was formally declared 'open'. The presentations commenced with the first team, comprising Shah Inzamamul Haque and Sankalp Pandey, regaling the audience with their erudite research papers.
Thirteen teams participated, each presenting fascinating research papers that showcased their intellectual prowess. Following the presentations, the judges, esteemed researchers in their own right, shared their wisdom and experiences with the participants.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. Walter D'Silva, then delivered a stirring address, imparting his sagacity and insights to the assembly. The culmination of the event was the announcement of the winners, with Lakshya Kulshrestha, the President of the Science Association, declaring the triumphant teams.
The team comprising Aradhya Srivastava and Aditya Srivastava emerged victorious, with the runner-up position being secured by Nishkarsh Gupta and Pramit Pandey. The joint second runner-up spots were claimed by Kevin Terry Velluthara and Yeshu Ezra Sanal, and Devansh Pandey and Avneesh Kumar.
The laurels were presented to the winners by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Walter D'Silva, the judges, Dr. Sanish Thomas and Dr. (Lt) Neha Frederick, and the chairperson of the Science Association, Dr. (Mrs.) Sheetal Sebastian. The event concluded with Panav Tandon proposing a Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem, thus bringing to a close a day of intellectual fervor and discovery.
