Special Scholarships
The Batch of 1996, in a heartening gesture, extended their legacy by awarding scholarships through the Josephite Financial Trust to:
Ishansh Dwivedi – Class 11-D
Aryaman Singh – Class 11-F
Krishna Mehrotra – Class 11-E
The Bishop, Most Rev. Louis Macarenhas, in his ever inspiring and motivation the bishop emphasised that an award is appreciation of the diligence of students, parents and teachers. The brilliant performance of students is attribute to the 140 years old legacy of the. institution. A student only needs a conducive environment at home and in school in order to excel. Excelling in academics is not enough: excellence in human values is far more important than anything else. The father of the nation, Gandhi ji laid emphasis on a person being a good human being, first and foremost. St. Joseph’s College has always reached out to the poor and the underprivileged in moments of crisis, as the institution lays premium on co human values of com passion and dexterity.
The Principal, Rev Fr. Walter D’Silva, too, praised the achievers saying that the accomplishments of students are proof of relentless determination and unwavering focus. Consistent efforts and love for learning are amply indicated in their superb results. A cent per cent attendance is the outcome of unquestionable commitment to regularity. Continuous effort is the key to success as stressed upon by Winston Churchill. When the triad of students, parents and teachers work collaboratively, success is ensured.
The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end of a truly inspiring celebration of academic and moral excellence at St. Joseph’s College.
