"Where words fail, music speaks." – HansChristian Andersen
When young minds are nurtured with encouragement and guided with care, their abilities begin to sing through strings, keys, and rhythms. At St. Joseph's College, we believe in building skill, confidence, and stage presence - shaping musicians who do not merely play notes but speak through their instruments.
In that spirit, the Instrumental Playing Competition was organised for students of Classes 1 to5, and held on 26th July 2025, offering a platform for young performers to showcase their musical abilities and grow in confidence through live performance.
The participants were selected by Mr. A. Sharma and Mr. R. Solomon through an open selection process, giving every interested student a fair opportunity to audition and participate. Each participant performed a solo instrumental piece of their choice. The event featured a delightful range of instruments including the Casio, Drums, Tabla, Guitar, Flute, and Harmonium, creating a truly enchanting musical experience. Each young musician brought their unique energy to the stage, some with remarkable rhythm, others with sensitive control over melody and tone, making every moment a memorable one for the audience.
The event was graced by our esteemed judgesMr. Soubhagya Nayak, Mrs. Stella Mathews, and Mrs. KerenDass, who are talented musicians witha deep love of music.
